Rules
- Entries allowed starting Oct. 1 - Dec. 16th, 2012
- Entry Fee - Donation to the Porter School Library
- Bucks must be from Iron County, MI
- Bucks must be taken during either the 2012 Archery, Regular Firearm or Muzzle Loading Deer Seasons
- Bucks must be properly tagged according to MI State Law when brought in for measurement
- Pictures will be taken and posted on our website as entries are received
Winners & Prizes
- Three Grand Prize Groups: Youth (under 18), Men & Women. Each to receive:
- $25 gift certificate for the Shops in the Porter School MarketPlace
- 1 USDA Inspected Whole Beef Tenderloin
Point System
Winners will be decided by the total score according to the contest’s point system:

- No Points will be counted that are less than 1 inch from it’s base
- All measurements will be rounded off to the nearest 1/8 inch
- Any broken point which measures less than the minimum length for a point will not be counted as a point
- If the main beam is broken in any manner, the measurement will not include the detached portion of the antler
- If the main beams are moveable, the measurement will be made at the narrowest point when the antlers are held in
- Once a buck is measured, it cannot be re-measured by another measurer
- In the case of a tie after the tiebreaker has already been considered, winners will be determined by a drawing between the hunters whose score is the same
